Great update! I remember when warlord did their sprue sale and you could get stories for like $1-2 each. If they ever discount that deep again my wallet will be hurting.

thanks Dom, you probably have already looked at Pickett's Charge rules for your ACW, but definitely worth a look for large table games in the boot room. Very good period feel which now as an old gamer seems the most relevant thing (my own written 'detailed' rules in the past would find us spending an evening playing out 3 or 4 one minute turns!). Keep doing your own thing and ignore the 'fault finders'.

Great rant Dom, I aree GDA2 is too big a game for a club night. Keep it for the boot room as solo or a full day game.

The price point for Warlords epic range went from decent with the American Civil War to obnoxious with Epic Ancients. Are they trying to become another GW?

Find these "ultra-purists" in almost every hobby or pastime. Feeding their own ego on the whole. Best ignored.

Great looking stuff Dom! Glad you got to vent! We have a fun saying in the Intensive Care Unit.... You can't fix stupid, you can only Sedate It! GDA2 is going to have to stay in the Boot Room for solo-gaming or multi-session games (most of my GDA games last 4 to 5 days).

They turned out great Dom. I really like them. Shame about the scale it would bother me however. I see that they do actually do mid rep Romans at 13.5mm. Perhaps they will expand the range to compete with warlord and it would ideal for epic scale. I have actually for the first time entered epic with the hannibal box set. Found a place that did 22% off making it 185. A fair saving on 240.

Great paintjob, they look fantastic. =) They look like they'll go great with Forged in Battle, Baueda, etc. Quite annoyed with Warlord that they dropped the scale back down for Hail Caesar... the scale doesn't match with anything. Kinda hard to convince myself that's not a deliberate choice. Bit of a shame.

There's a new Facebook post from John, Cromarty Forge. New release of STL files at this Epic scale. 13.5mm from the sole of the sandals to the eye. And available in strips as the Warlord games are.

They look really nice, what is the resin like that is used to print them? I believe it is not brittle like a lot of others and has more flexibility to it? I'm concerned the weapons will snap easily in this scale.

Very nice video! It is very interesting to have a comparison with epic. I think that Cromarty has started to release their printings in "epic scale" as well. They should be smaller and more compatible. Anyway, I prefer Cromarty and the 15mm to the epic scale.

Agree 100% about 3' rule. Either way they will work and they look fantastic, too! Have a blast! 👍👍

cromarty forge are really good figures . like 28s but smaller, the shield details are nice if one takes the time to paint them , a bit fiddly but worth the effort. . Cheers

Do you think the Cromarty figures would size match if printed at 90% of the standard file size? I wonder how the 10mm files would look if printed at 125%.

Love the Cromarty forge figures. They paint well almost similar to 28s but still quick as smaller as less detail. Lovely job I really like the way they rank up

Great video and lovely paint job. Cromarty is great. Ive got a growing collection of 10mm figures and they are great to paint up with the amount of detail even at that smaller scale. I know PSC announced an "Epic scale" line for the Cromarty Mid Republican Romans.

Must say I prefer the look of the PSC kits over the warlord

The paint job you have done really shows the potential of the Cromarty figures. They look very nice indeed. I imagine they were more satisfying to paint than the epic range.

Epic is 12mm isn't it? Which means 15mm are never going to match!

They look really nice dom if only Warlord had made epic 15mm instead of there own special thing but perhaps that's the whole point of them doing it that way personally I prefer the cromarty forge figs more character epic are a bit bland for my taste. but each to there own .

I see that Cromarty print in both 15mm and 10mm. You bought the 15mm but have you looked at the 10mm to see whether they are more compatablewith Epic Scale?
